IFSEC India 2026 opens on 3 December at Halls 4GF and 5GF of Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, and runs through 5 December. The organisers, Informa Markets, say visitors can meet over 350 suppliers, manufacturers and distributors across CCTV, access control, cybersecurity, drones and more. Last year's edition, held from 11 to 13 December 2025, was billed as the largest yet, with over 150 exhibitors and 350+ brands.

It's easy to reduce this to a long walk past screens showing sharp footage and the word "AI" on every banner. But it isn't really a story about how many brands fill the hall. It's a story about whether AI in CCTV has become something a buyer can rely on after the show ends, on a real site, with a real network and a real budget.

That shift is happening across India right now. The organisers have framed this year's conference around "Rethinking Security for a Resilient, Data-Driven India," and at last year's edition Informa Markets India's managing director, Yogesh Mudras, described the country's electronic security market as a ₹1 lakh crore opportunity. With that much money moving, it's worth asking what a buyer actually needs to look for, and which AI CCTV claims will still hold up six months after the purchase

Why a Show Floor Demo Isn't Enough to Judge AI CCTV

A demo on a stand is the best day a camera will ever have. The lighting is controlled, the network is fast, and the person beside the screen knows exactly which scenario to trigger. Real sites are different: a warehouse gate has headlights at night, a school corridor fills up at the bell, and a construction yard has a patchy mobile signal.

When AI CCTV disappoints, it's rarely dramatic. Alerts fire on shadows and get ignored. A cloud feature stops working when the connection drops. A tender asks for a certificate the product doesn't have. Each of these is easy to check at a stand and hard to fix once the cameras are on the wall.

With three days and hundreds of stands, nobody can test everything. What helps is a short list of questions that separates a working system from a good demo. "More AI" was never the gap. The gap was knowing what to ask.

What AI CCTV Innovation Actually Means in 2026

AI CCTV is a surveillance setup where the camera, the recorder or the cloud analyses video to detect people, vehicles and events and send alerts, instead of only recording footage for someone to review later. The official show page lists AI-enabled surveillance systems, cloud based video surveillance platforms, night vision cameras, NVRs and remote video access among the featured technologies. Four shifts are worth tracking, based on those themes and on what last year's coverage highlighted.

Analytics at the edge. On-camera analysis means the camera itself decides that a person has entered a zone and raises the alert, without sending every frame to a server first. The benefit is speed and lower bandwidth, which matters most on sites with weak connectivity. Ask whether the analytics run on the camera or only on a server, and which models support which detections.

Cloud video that still works on a bad day. Cloud platforms let one team watch many sites, and last year's coverage highlighted cloud-enabled surveillance and AI-powered emergency response. The real test is what happens when the connection drops. Ask what keeps recording, where, and for how long.

Integration over replacement. Coverage of the 2025 edition pointed to integrated command centres, IoT sensors and sensor fusion, and drone and anti-drone solutions are a listed category for 2026. For most buyers the practical version is simpler: can new AI features work with the cameras already on the wall, or does everything have to be replaced?

Compliance as a feature. The 2026 conference includes a track on cybersecurity, certification and policy. For anyone selling to government, PSU or large enterprise buyers, certification isn't paperwork at the end of a project. It's a gate at the start.

This is the part that gets missed when a demo is judged only by how sharp the picture looks.

Where ArcisAI Fits In

ArcisAI, from Adiance Technologies in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, is attending IFSEC India 2026 as a Premier Plus Partner. The full list of what it is bringing is in the earlier post, ArcisAI Returns to IFSEC India 2026, so here's the shorter version: how the range lines up with the questions above.

On the edge question, the ECO-Series cameras will show on-camera human detection and tamper detection live. The range comes in 3MP and 5MP variants and in three connectivity options: PoE for wired sites, WiFi for wireless installs, and 4G SIM for locations without internet infrastructure.

On the cloud question, the ArcisAI Cloud VMS is STQC certified and brings live view, playback and alerts from cameras at multiple locations into one platform, with smart detection alerts on the mobile app. On the integration question, the ArcisAI Bridge Device sits on the same local network as existing ONVIF cameras and relays their streams to the Cloud VMS, so the cameras don't need direct internet access. One device handles up to five ONVIF cameras. If the connection drops, cloud recording pauses, while cameras with onboard SD storage keep recording locally. ArcisGPT adds natural-language video search on top.

On certification, ArcisAI is BIS-ER certified, its VMS is STQC certified, its cameras are NDAA compliant, and the products are made in India with no high-risk foreign components. The company is also ISO 27001:2022 and ISO 9001:2015 certified. Installers and integrators in Gujarat and Maharashtra, ArcisAI's current priority territories, can also use the show to ask about the Partner Programme.

What This Means for You Before You Walk the Floor

Map your sites first. Write down every gate, corridor, yard and room that needs cover, and note which have no internet. A short list of what each spot needs is far more useful than a bag of brochures.

Decide who is watching. AI alerts only help if someone receives them and acts. Decide whether alerts go to a guard, a site manager or a central team, and ask exhibitors to show that exact path on a phone, not just on the demo screen.

Ask what happens when the network drops. Ask where footage is stored, what keeps recording when the connection fails, and whether your existing cameras can be added without replacement. Check camera compatibility before you commit, since integration claims are only as good as the models they were tested on.

Ask for certification early. Ask for BIS-ER, STQC and NDAA documents before you talk price, especially for GeM, PSU or tender-linked projects. It's a five minute question that can save a project a failed compliance check.

None of this needs a technical background. It needs a short list and the habit of asking it at every stand.
